Executive Pastry Chef Cristal Paredes!
After six years of schooling, eight years of pastry experience and hundreds of cakes – Executive Pastry Chef, Cristal Paredes, decided it was time to create desserts her way.
Paredes, a 2009 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, fell in love with baking at the young age of 13. At 26, she has worked at some of New York City’s most prestigious restaurants, creating desserts for events within iconic venues such as The Plaza, Ritz Carlton and The German Mission.
Word of Cristal’s talent quickly spread – she began baking cakes, cupcakes, all kinds of confections for her family and friends. Recently while working at New York’s Mondrian Hotel, she maintained a busy baking schedule at home in New Jersey. Some nights Paredes created dozens of desserts before heading back to New York early the next morning.
Cristal Paredes has finally found a home and a culinary stage at ORAMA of Edgewater. As Executive Pastry Chef Paredes can finally bring her talent and love for baking to the tables of North Jersey’s finest clients.
